Early Childhood Educator – Diploma in Children’s Services

Quirindi Preschool Kindergarten (QPK) is a 40 place community-based service. The preschool has been operating for over 50 years and is an exceptional service catering for 3-5 year old children. We have an Exceeding Rating in all the National Quality Standards for early education and care.

Quirindi is in the heart of the scenic Liverpool Plains. Ideally situated only 50 minutes from the major regional centres of Tamworth, Gunnedah and Scone. Newcastle is an easy 3 hour drive south via the Hunter Expressway.

QPK is seeking an Early Childhood Educator with a strong foundation in community values, team collaboration, respect for children’s individual learning capabilities and an interest in play and nature-based learning.

QPK has an inclusive, play-based learning environment, advocating for the foundations of creating healthy, happy children that thrive and enjoy the natural desire, persistence and confidence needed for learning. Children spend their day learning indoors and outdoors in a welcoming preschool setting designed to connect children and adults with each other and nature.

The position package includes:

  • A Full-time position (38 hours per week) to commence immediately.
  • Above Award wages Children’s Services Award 2010
  • Operating NSW School’s Term calendar, inclusive of 11-12 weeks school holidays

  • Minimum Diploma in Children Services or equivalent
  • Demonstrated capability to collaboratively design, implement and evaluate learning programs.

  • Working with Children Check (current and valid)
  • National Police Check (current)
  • Child Protection Training
  • First Aid Certificate (current)
  • CPR / Anaphylaxis / Asthma training (current)
  • COVID vaccination certificate
  • Prohibited persons are not permitted to apply
